Presented by Walter Keevil
CERA Zoom Program
Friday, September 9, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. CDT
All are invited—admission begins at 6:45 p.m.
(and there will be room for everyone this time!)
Join us this coming Friday for a fascinating account of rapid transit in Skokie from 1924 to 2014 presented by MCERA Walter Keevil.
This presentation will recount the various eras in Skokie’s rapid transit service from initial construction in 1924 by the Insull interests to the present day Yellow Line service operated by the Chicago Transit Authority.
In between will be the years of the lonely single car shuttles, which ended in 1948, the years of operation through the village by the North Shore Line, and rapid transit’s return with the coming of the Skokie Swift in 1964. Be on hand for what will be a memorable program. The Zoom programs begin at 7 p.m. (Central) and all are welcome by going to:
