Railfaning Southern California
Southern California resident and longtime CERA member Harvey Laner presents narrated video in two parts. The first, railfan trips sponsored by the RailRoad Boosters, predecessor of today’s Pacific Railroad Society. Among the twenty-two fantrips featured is the final Pacific Electric trip on the Mt. Lowe Line of December 1937.
The second part of the evening's program begins with the RailRoad Boosters second Orange Empire Trolley Trip featuring two former SP Oregon and California suburban express mail cars built by Pullman in 1913, Pacific Electric 1374 and 1375. Also included is color movie footage of the last day of operation on the PE’s Redondo Beach via Gardena Line.
