Steel City Streetcars: Films of Pittsburgh Railways 1940s - 1960s

  • Friday, May 24, 2019
  • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • University Center: Loop River Room 525 S. State Street, Chicago, IL

May's Program: Travel back in time to Pittsburgh to view and ride the North Side and West End lines of Pittsburgh Railways.

We'll see the railway at its zenith when streetcar routes reached seemingly every corner of the city. The North Side was home to such routes as 10-West View and 15-Bellevue as well as the spectacular Fineview line. Routs in the West End included 25-Island Avenue, 26 West Park and 27-Carnegie.

Join us for an enjoyable evening as we view both low floor and PCC equipment from this fascinating city.

The Loop River Room is located on the second floor. After entering the lobby, go through the glass doors on your left for stair and elevator access to the area. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Notice to CERA Members: Beginning in January 2019, anyone attending CERA monthly programs must be a paid member of CERA for 2019.
