Insull Era

Presented by David Gartler of Poster Plus

Friday, May 27, 2016, at 7:00 p.m.

University Center

Lake Room Conference Center

525 S. State Street, Chicago, IL

(Located between Congress Parkway and Harrison St.)

The Conference Center is located on the second floor. After entering the lobby, go through the glass doors on your left for stair and elevator access to the area. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.

In 1974, a discovery was made of a cache of Chicago area transit posters of the 1920's. These were found abandoned in a storage locker and brought to David Gartler the owner of Poster Plus.

Mr. Gartler has conserved, exhibited, promoted and sold originals and reproductions of these long forgotten masterpieces of railroad advertising art.  On May 27th, Mr. Gartler will present a slide presentation and talk about the history, importance, and thrill of ongoing discoveries of what have been called the Insull posters.   Original and reproduction posters will be on display and for sale.  Major credit cards will be accepted.
